Getting Rid Of Pregnancy Weight- How To Get Back In Shape

After having a child, everything changes- even your body.  After nine months of carrying a baby, of course you’re going to look different- but it doesn’t have to stay that way.  Now that you have your bouncing bundle of joy, it is time to bounce back into shape.  So here are some tips on getting rid of pregnancy weight to help you out.

Breastfeeding

This is probably the easiest and fastest way to get rid of those unwanted pounds that have piled up over the past nine months.  Studies have shown that women who breastfeed their child completely without the use of any milk supplements can burn up to 600 calories a day- so that is like a good two hour work out without having to lift a finger.

But since not all women breastfeed, or at least not all the time, there are other ways to part with that postpartum fat.

Water

Going on a diet is actually not recommended right after you give birth, but that does not mean that you should eat as much as you have everyday over the last nine months.  So, one way to regulate you food intake is by drinking a whole lot of water.  Not only does this make sure that you do not get dehydrated, but it actually keeps you full so that you don’t feel the need to snack as much and there have even been studies that show drinking a lot of water can actually speed up your metabolism.

Exercise

There is no escaping this one- Exercise.  Whether you like it or not, you have to exercise if you want to get back in shape.  Even if you diet and breastfeed and succeed in getting rid of all of the weight that you have gained during your pregnancy, you will need to diet in order to make everything toned once again.  You wouldn’t want to be sagging now would you?

Now, you don’t really have to take on a full workout every day.  You do need to take it a little easy after you give birth after all.  You can start with brisk walking.  Experts suggest that 150 minutes a week should be enough at first.

Programs

There are a lot of programs that can guide you back into shape.  But it is true that prevention is better than cure- meaning that if you can keep fit during the pregnancy, the better.  Check out Pregnancy Without Pounds for more information.

If you are interested in influencing the gender of your child to be, then you should also definitely check out Ashley Spencer’s book.

Infertility- Common Problems Getting Pregnant

Infertility- Common Problems Getting Pregnant
Most women do not have a hard time getting pregnant.  Heck, a lot of them do not even plan it to begin with.  However, there are those want to be mothers that aren’t as lucky.  So when it comes to infertility, here are some of the common problems that women face when they are trying to get pregnant but just don’t seem to succeed.
Irregular Cycle
This is actually one of the leading causes women fail to conceive.  When we say “irregular cycle”, do not be confused and think about how long your cycle lasts.  Some women even have up to 50 day cycles.  Irregular periods simply mean that you do not ovulate every month.  If you don’t ovulate, you can’t get pregnant.  Simple as that.
Age
Sad but true, age is another factor that you have to consider.  As you get older, it gets harder and harder for you to get pregnant or to actually stay pregnant.  The rate of miscarriages actually gets higher as the age group does too.  It is said that you should have kids before you hit 30, however, there are a lot of women who have healthy happy bundles of joy at 35.  However, having a child at that age is harder altogether- from conception to delivery to taking care of the child till he or she is old enough.
Medical Conditions
Sometimes, the reason you cannot conceive is more serious.  Sometimes, it has to do with certain medical conditions.  Some of the ones that may lead to infertility are PCOS- polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, blocked fallopian tube, PID-pelvic inflammatory disease, cancer, STDs-sexually transmitted diseases, etc.
Since these are more serious, then a more serious approach must be made.  If you feel you suffer from any of these conditions then you should go to visit your doctor ASAP and get treated and ask him for professional advice.
Sperm
Remember ladies that the problem is not always you but it could also be your partner- his sperm to be exact.  It is either that his sperm is not healthy, this could be due to his lifestyle like if he smokes and drinks or even takes drugs, he has some untreated STD, or maybe even just the mumps, or it may also be the quantity of his sperm- meaning that his sperm count is low and not enough.
Aside from these mentioned, there are other possible causes you are having problems conceiving like timing and position.  However, once you have found the root of the problem, you may very well find a solution.  Why not check out Lisa Olson’s Pregnancy Miracle for a natural way to get the baby you have always wanted?

Concept Of Conception- What To Know When Trying To Get Pregnant

Concept Of Conception- What To Know When Trying To Get Pregnant
If you have been trying and trying to get pregnant only to find that when it’s that time of the month, you little friend, more like little enemy is right on schedule, DON’T PANIC.  The reason behind this might be simpler than you think.  So before you decide that you are never going to have a child, here are a couple of things that you can try that might just do the trick and have you with a baby bump before you know it.  Concept of conception- what you need to know when trying to get pregnant.
Timing
In this case, it is true that timing is everything.  There is a huge possibility that maybe you have just been trying on all the wrong days.  Remember that the best time to try to conceive is when you are ovulating.  So you should know your cycle so that you will know when to give it a shot.
There are a couple ways for you to tell.  For most women, the calendar method is rather accurate.  As long as you have a regular cycle, then you should have no problems with this.  Basically, you begin to ovulate two weeks before your period.  So just count fourteen days back and you are good to go.
Another way to check if you are ovulating is y taking not of your vaginal discharges.  It is believed that your bodily fluid becomes clearer, stretchy, and thicker just before you begin ovulating.  Do remember that when checking, you should just go right ahead and use your fingers.  Tissue paper may only suck up the moisture and affect how it looks and feels.
Also, there are various ovulation kits on the market.  So you can just grab one off the shelf and find out if it is time or not.
Sex
Sex, of course is the number one thing you should take note of- how often you do it and even how you do it too.  First of all, believe it or not, too much sex can actually decrease your chances of getting pregnant.  Having sex everyday can actually lessen your man’s sperm count so that there may not be any left when it is time.  Sperm actually lasts for 72 hours, so every three weeks is ideal.
As for the position, it is advisable to try in ways which allow deep penetration so that the sperm is closer to the egg, such as behind positions and the like.

How To Have A Baby Girl

Ways To Have A Baby Girl

Ways To Have A Baby Girl

If you want to have a baby girl and are NOT yet pregnant, there are a couple of ways that just might work and give you a little princess of your own.  Here are some tips, tricks, and basically everything you need to know about how to have a baby girl.  So instead of just keeping your fingers crossed, read on, get the information, and actually do something about it.

Back To Basics

Before we focus on how to have a baby girl, here are some things that you should know.  Let’s start with the chromosomes.   There are only two kinds, the X chromosomes and the Y chromosomes.  Women have XX chromosomes while men have XY chromosomes.  What you have to remember is that the egg, which is from the women,  is X, and the sperm can either be X or Y.  An X sperm will give you a baby girl and a Y sperm will give you a baby boy.

Another fact that you should know is that X sperm (girl) is larger, lives longer, but is also much slower.  The Y sperm (boy) is smaller, faster, but has a shorter life span.

Aside from that, there is one more crucial fact that you should know.  This is about ovulation.  Normally, a woman will ovulate once every time she gets her menstrual cycle.  This is when one egg leaves the ovaries and stays in the fallopian tube making this the most fertile period.  Usually this happens in the middle of the cycle but may vary from woman to woman.

Now that you have the basic facts, let’s take a look on some of the tips and steps on how to have a baby girl.

Tips And Steps

Timing

As they say, timing is everything.  This is also true when it comes to conceiving a baby girl.  The best time to have intercourse is about 2-3 days before the woman starts ovulating.  The reason behind this is the sperms.  Remember that the Y sperm is much faster but dies out quicker.  So basically, you want to get rid of them before ovulation starts.  Since the X sperm is slower but lives longer, chances are X will be the one to reach egg.

Position

Position is also another thing that you need to consider.  Couples should also avoid any deep penetration.  You want the sperm to come out as far away from the egg as possible giving a much bigger chance of the Ys dying out and the Xs being the last ones standing.

Specific Methods

If you really want a baby girl so badly, you can also turn to advanced medical technology.  There are a couple of techniques that use in vitro fertilization or intrauterine insemination such as PGD and MicroSort.  Hi technology offers high success rates but come with a high price too.

If you are looking for a cheaper alternative, there are a couple of books on the market that have been rather promising when it comes to gender selection, such as Ashley Spencer’s How To Conceive The Baby Of Your Choice,  Chasing The Gender Dream by Jennifer Thompson, and How To Choose The Gender Of Your Baby by Shettles to name a few.

The Billings Method To Conceive A Boy

Sure, the most important thing for expecting parents is that their baby will be healthy, that there won’t be anything wrong with it when it is born.  But when it really all comes down to it, both the mommy and daddy have their own preference as to whether it is a girl or a boy.  It can’t be helped.  Many, especially those who are about to have their first born or who live in Asia, really hope to add a little man to their family.  Now, as long as you aren’t pregnant already, you can do more than just cross your fingers.  There are a lot of methods when it comes to gender selection – one of them is the Billings method to conceive a boy.

What is the Billings Method?

BOM, the Billings Ovulation Method is a way that women can monitor and observe their fertility so that they know at which point in their menstrual cycle they are fertile and infertile.  This is done by observing their vulva as well as any vaginal discharge.  This information then can be used to get pregnant or avoid it altogether whether the woman has a regular or irregular cycle, she is breast feeding, or even peri-menopause.  This is perfect for family planning- for choosing the number or children you want, when you want them, and at the same time, it can also be used for choosing what kind of kid you want too., be it a boy or a girl.

The Billings Method To Conceive A Boy

In order for you to understand how this works, there are a couple of things that you need to know.   First, sperm can actually live in your fertile cervical mucus for a good 3-5 days while an egg goes from 12 hours to an entire day.  This of course varies from person to person.  You should also know that the male sperm is smaller, faster, but has a shorter life span while the female bearing ones are bigger, slower, but live longer.

With that being said, that is why the Billings Method basically makes you keep track and chart your cycles so that you will be able to predict your time of ovulation and how many days you will be fertile before it actually starts.

So if you want to use the Billings Method to conceive a boy, you should try when the woman has reached her fertility peak as well as the next day too.  Because this is sort of based on the rhythm method, you can actually count as to when this peak will be.  Fist you have to estimate about just how many days you have in a cycle.  After that, you have to know when you are expecting to have your period again.  Count 2 weeks back, so 14 days, and that is when you should start trying for a boy.

A contrasting approach to conceiving the baby of your choice is the Ashley Spencer Gender book. This approach creates conditions that make male or female sperm more likely to reach the egg depending on the gender of the baby you desire. Both the Billings and the Ashley Spencer method can have some influence over the gender of your yet to be conceived baby. They aren’t foolproof but then they don’t cost money to perform unlike sperm sorting and things like that.

What Is The Shettles Method – A Brief Summary And Walk Through

What Is The Shettles Method ?

What Is The Shettles Method ?

Dr. Landrum Shettles, author of the bestseller How To Choose The Sex Of Your Baby, has sold over millions claiming that this natural method guarantees a 75% to 90% success rate of gender selection.  Known to be “best supported by scientific evidence”, it is no wonder this method is all the rave.  It is safe.  It is effective.  The best part is it is free.

Theory

Sperms come in two kinds.  You have the X chromosome and the Y chromosome.  These two have very different properties.  X chromosomes are larger, oval headed, and are much stronger.  However, this is the slower “swimmer” of the two.  The Y chromosomes on the other hand are smaller, round headed, and weaker but much faster.
Simply put, X chromosomes are baby girl makers and Y chromosomes are baby boy makers.

Method

Exactly what is the Shettles method? With the theory proven to be true, there are a few ways to tip the scale one way or the other making the X chromosomes win the race or the Y.  Below are the top three.

Timing is everything

Based on a monthly cycle, when you try for a boy, the closer to the ovulation date the better the chance.  Remember that the Y chromosomes are the fast swimmers, hence winning fist place in reaching the egg.  For a girl to be born, three days before ovulation is the perfect time.  Because the X chromosomes are stronger, although slower, they will eventually make it to the finishing point undamaged.  The Y chromosomes on the other hand will probably die out before ever reaching the egg.

The tract comes next

Women’s PH tracts may vary.  An acidic environment tends too feed on the strong and kill off the weak- Meaning that this puts the chance of a girl much higher.  An alkaline environment will do quite the opposite giving the boys a bigger chance.  Based on the book, a douche of vinegar and water will make it more acidic while a douche of baking soda and water will help on the alkaline side.

Places places please

The position and depth are also very important.  It is always more acidic the closer to the entrance.  So if you want a girl, the “swimming” should start here.  Going deeper only means getting closer to the “finish line”.  So boys will obviously have a head start.

All in all, what is the Shettles method?  It is more than just some steps to favoring a girl or a boy.  For many it is the possibility to make their dream family come true.

The Ashley Spencer Gender Selection book is partly based on the Shettles method in that she describes ways to improve the chances of male and female sperm to get to the egg. She also discusses others ways, like intercourse positions that will help each sperm to be more successful than the other. Of course there are no guarantees, but following these guidelines can help you conceive the baby gender of your choice.

Tips And Techniques On Choosing The Gender Of Your Baby

Tips to influence the gender of your baby

Tips to influence the gender of your baby

It is only normal for expecting parents to either hope for a little baby girl or hope for a little baby boy.  Sure what really matters is that the baby is healthy, but there will always be a certain preference for a certain couple.  If you play your cards right, you can do more than just hope.  Here are some tips and techniques on choosing the gender of your baby.  Although these may not be 100% accurate, these will at the very least tip the odds in your favor (meaning the favored gender to be exact).  So take the time and read on.

MicroSort

MicroSort, just as the name implies, is a highly advanced process of sorting the sperm into two categories- the X bearing sperms and the Y bearing sperms.  Basically, this means that it can separate the boy producing sperms from the ones that produce girls through the Flow Cytometry technique.  Fact is that X chromosomes have more DNA than Y chromosomes hence making the former just a little bit larger than the latter.  Microsort will then separate the sperms based on size.  After this, intrauterine insemination, IUI, or in vitro fertilization is done to get the woman pregnant.

Research and statistic show that there has been a 92% success rate of women conceiving a girl and an 81% success rate of women conceiving a boy using this method.

Shettles Method

This method, on the other hand, is totally natural.  The whole theory is based on the fact that the X and Y bearing sperms are very different when it comes down to how fast it travels and how long it survives in the reproductive tract.  Basically, the method goes as follows.  If you want to have a boy, you should try to conceive 12 hours before ovulation while if you want to have a girl, you should try several days before.  This is because the boy producing sperms are much faster than the girl producing sperms however, they also die out much quicker too.  That is why is you want to have a girl, you have to time it a couple of days before ovulation, let’s say 2 or 3 days, because chances are that the boys sperms will die out before making it to the “finish line”.  So if you want to have a boy, 12 hours before ovulation is best because they travel faster than the girl producing sperms so chances are that a boy producing sperm will win the race.

Ashley Spencer Gender Selection Book

Last but not the least is the Ashley Spencer Gender Selection Book.   Basically, this is a 45 page book that will guide you in 3 steps to selecting the gender of your choice.  First is all about the proper timing and PH levels.  The second step pertains to certain diet adjustments.  The third is all about specific intercourse positions.

This book is actually based on the writer’s firsthand experience on trying to conceive a baby girl and ultimately getting just what she and her husband wanted.

Tales and Technology – Various Baby Gender Selection Methods

Influence The Gender Of Your Baby With One Of These Methods

Influence The Gender Of Your Baby With One Of These Methods

When it comes to having a child, quite a lot of couples take choosing the gender of their baby rather seriously and go to great lengths to have a baby boy or a baby girl.  So this article is all about tales and technology- various baby gender selection methods.  Here you will be able to read about almost every way possible to getting your preferred gender, from old wives tales to the marvels of modern technology.

The Tales

Although there is no scientific evidence backing these claims up, experience goes a long way.  Because all of these are natural and are more or less free, what have you got to lose anyway?  So here are some old wives tales on selecting the gender of your baby.

Let’s start with boys.  Women are supposed to eat a whole lot of red meat and salty snacks like chips while their partners are supposed to drink cola.  When it comes to intercourse, it is also believed that if the man is the one who comes on to the woman, the chances of having a baby boy is much greater.  The position is also a factor.  Intercourse while standing up is supposed to help.  Also, the woman’s head should be facing north.  One more thing is timing- they say that to conceive a boy, you should make love when the moon is only a quarter full.

If you want to have a baby girl, here are some of the myths and beliefs.  Both the man and the woman should eat a lot of fish and a lot of veggies.  Women particularly should eat a lot of chocolate too.  In this case, women should be the ones to make the first move if they want a baby girl.  As for the position, it is better if the woman is on top.  Finally, when it comes to timing, they should have intercourse when the moon is full on an even day of the month.

The Technology

Now for some methods that have actually been scientifically proven to work.  Although the success rate may not be 100%, at least you have cold hard scientific facts behind each one.

PGD

PGD is currently the most effective technique used to choose the gender of your baby, however, it is also one of the most expensive.  Through the use of in vitro fertilization, IVF,  and biopsies done of the embryos, not only are couples able to choose a boy or a girl, but they are also guaranteed that their baby will be perfectly healthy too.

MicroSort

Microsort is another method that if almost 100% accurate.  Also through the use of in virto fertilization or intrauterine insemination, this method actually separates the X chromosomes from the Y chromosomes make gender selection possible.  Actually, the success rate for baby girls is 92% while it is 81% for baby boys.

Ashley Spencer Gender Selection Book

This method, on the other hand, is kind of like a combination of both Tale and Technology – tale in the sense that everything is natural, and technology because there is scientific evidence to support the method altogether.

Basically, this book talks and teaches you three main factors and steps that you have to consider and follow in order to get the gender you desire – Timing and PH levels, the proper diet, and specific positions. Learn More about the Ashley Spencer Gender Selection Book

How Can I Get Pregnant? Tips To Help You Conceive

A lot of women get to that point in their lives where they want to have children and start a family.  When this happens they often wonder how can I get pregnant the easiest way?   For any women who want to know how can I get pregnant, there are a few tips that will be important to keep in mind.  These tips will help you conceive and make it as easy and stress free for you.

For any woman who wants to know how can I get pregnant, the first step she must take is to learn more about her cycle and when she ovulates each month.  For the average woman her cycle will last a total of 28 days and she will ovulate about two weeks after the first day of her menstrual cycle.  If your cycle is the same you can use a regular calendar to determine what days you should be having intercourse on.  For women who have an irregular cycle, it’s best to talk to a doctor who can use special tests and calculations to offer more insight into when ovulation will occur.

For any women trying to get pregnant, it’s important they do everything they can to improve their fertility.  In particular this means you need to be eating a nutritious diet, getting plenty of exercise and quitting bad habits such as smoking and drinking alcohol.  Not only will this increase your chances of conceiving but as well you can live a healthier life once you do get pregnant and have a child.  Just as important is to relax and try not to get stressed out.

Of course this is easier said than done for many women who lead extraordinarily busy lives and are working to get pregnant on top of that.  Stress can be a definite cause of infertility problems, so make sure that you stay relaxed and keep yourself as healthy and happy as possible.  Start up with yoga classes or practice breathing exercises which will help to relieve your stress and keep you calm.  Research has actually proven otherwise and it really does work because it allows the sperm extra time to travel to the cervix.

Age is another important factor for women trying to conceive.  The older a woman is the more troubles she is likely to have with getting pregnant.  Once a woman reaches the age of thirty-five not only has her fertility rate decreased significantly, but as well the baby will be more at risk of being born with birth defects.  Women should keep all these tips in mind when they’re trying to conceive and have a family of their own.

If you are interested in influencing the gender of your child before conception then check out How To Conceive The Gender of Your Choice review or go to the official site for more details.

Choose Baby Gender – Yes, You Can Influence The Sex Of Your Baby

Many couples who want to have a baby of specific sex either male or female are beginning to have the option to choose baby gender. Gender selection, has been seen both as an intriguing yet controversial subject to discuss. Many people feel that being able to choose your baby’s gender takes away some of the surprise and anticipation of the birth event.

Many couples these days are taking it upon themselves to choose the gender of their baby. The reasons are not all based on the fact that they really want a girl or they feel they can handle a boy better. Gender selection began as a way to weed out any genetic illnesses that had been linked to certain sexes. Certainly, no parent would want a child to suffer if it can be avoided.

People in such countries as the United Kingdom, United States, and Australia are all being given the chance to choose the sex of their child. Could gender selection be the cure to human illnesses that afflict only one gender and not the other? If so, it could be a way to avoid having to live a life that is full of suffering and pain.

Many ancient cultures have homespun techniques and even herbal preparations for conceiving a child of a desired sex. These traditions have been passed from generation to generation and continue to be practiced all around the globe. Widely used methods to choose baby gender typically include some analysis of basal temperature and ovulation cycles.

Some people argue that if everyone is given the right to choose baby gender then eventually one sex will over populate the other. There are no facts that can prove this proposition as being true or not. Not everyone who is interested in gender selection is trying to conceive only boys or only girls at the same time. Even so, no method is currently completely foolproof.

There will always be families who crave a baby boy or baby girl to balance an existing family unit. Perhaps there are families who already have one or two boys and really want a little girl or the reverse can be just as true. There is no hard and fast rule that everyone is looking to have only boys or only girls.

The surprise factor goes along with a pregnancy is gone, but for many parents they are fine with this aspect. It makes setting up things for their new baby a lot easier and it decreases the need to worry about the child inheriting a gender-related illness.
